I am hoping you can assist me. I am trying to enable filevault on my 10.7.4 lion coreduo MacBook.
What is happening is that i go through the whole setup process and then the machine restarts as per normal and then the machine starts to boot up again. After about 30 second the machine then restarts again and takes me to the standard login screen and not the filevaut login screen.
from there I login and go to check that filevault has been enabeled as is encrypting the disk to discover that filevault has not been enabeled.
I have redone this process a variety of times with no joy..
This machine has recently been upgraded from 10.5.4 to 10.6 and now up to 10.7.4 and has not had filevault enabeled on it prior.
Does anyone have any other suggestions apart from a fresh install which i really would not like to do?
